Hello. My name is Rhett Soveran and I am the volunteer Blog Director for ChristmasFuture. That’s me from this past summer beside potentially the greatest sign in Saskatchewan. If you don’t get it right away, it will come to you.
Do you know what I really, really dislike doing? Of course you don’t. I don’t like serving sandwiches. I am referring to volunteering at a soup kitchen of some sort. There are lots and lots of ways that I am happy and love to give my time, but if I can dodge out of the way of serving sandwiches I do. I know that might sound callous. Maybe it is. It’s not that I can’t do it. But, I would rather not. My dad on the other hand, loves helping at soup kitchens. That’s a passion of his, but not of mine.
I doubt that I am completely alone in this. If you take a good look at yourself and your experiences I bet there is one volunteer act that you might do without. Maybe you don’t like organizing events or coaching soccer teams or whatever it may be. I like coaching.
ChristmasFuture, not only offers a new way to give, but a new way to volunteer. There are, like any non-profit, many ways to volunteer with ChristmasFuture, but there is one particular way that I need your help. I am looking for volunteer bloggers. It doesn’t matter if you have never blogged (but interested) or if you are a veteran blogger.
There are a lot of options. You could become a regular blogger for ChristmasFuture or you could write a guest post. There are plenty of things to blog about and we would be happy to give you ideas. Let me know if this sounds like something that would interest you. Email me at blog@christmasfuture.org. We can talk about it.
